Have you recognized that as your Creator I have an absolute claim on your life? (Ezekiel 18:4, Acts 17:24, 25, 28) 2. Do you know that you are precious to me as my creature, and that you are incomplete apart from my fellowship? (Genesis 1 and 2, Isaiah 43:4, Psalm 84:2, 10) 3. Do you believe that I love you and desire your fellowship? (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1 John 1:3) 4. Do you recognize that you are a rebel against me and have stolen from me what is rightfully mine by running your own life, and that therefore you deserve judgment? (Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:10-12, 18) 5. Are you convinced that you can do nothing to save yourself? (Romans 3:20, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 8:7, 8) 6.
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the only solution to your rebellion against me and that you must be forgiven through Him? (John 8:24, 14:6, Romans 3:24, 25) 7. Have you consciously repented (turned from your rebellion)? (Luke 13:3, 5; 2 Corinthians 7:8-10) 8. Have you put your trust in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your rebellion against me? (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16-18; Galatians 2:16) 9. Do you recognize that, as the direct consequence of this, Jesus Christ has become Lord of your life and that, therefore, obedience to Him is not optional? Have you bowed to my Son as Lord of your life? (John 14:15, Luke 6:46, Luke 14:25-35) 10. Do you realize that you can do this only through the power of the Holy Spirit? (John 1:13, 16:7-11, Romans 8:1-14) If you can answer "Yes" to these questions then you have become a child of God! Tell someone that you trust about your commitment! Back to Good News!
