Check your motive - James 3:1-12 taming the tongue Do not listen to hearsay from others Be sure that a wrong/sin was committed Go with a friend's concern - Proverbs 27:9 - Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of ones friend spring from his earnest counsel. Exodus 18:5-27 is a prime example of how we should admonish a brother. Remember the Lord guides and corrects - Hebrews 12:7-12 Is discipline fun? No! Are there benefits to it when done in the Lord?
